After an introductory consultation and a few informational meetings with his previous clients, Moshe and I began working together in early July. Early on, he recommended that I re-take the LSAT (for what would be the fifth time in the span of a few years) as breaching the 170 mark would get my foot in the door for my target schools (at the time, I was looking at the T20). As a reapplicant with a lower GPA (3.81), I knew I needed to bring something new for this cycle, so I accepted the challenge. Over the next few months, I studied for the LSAT, brainstormed with Moshe on the topic for my personal statement, and updated my resumé––all while working full-time. I treated my work with Moshe as a part-time job. He, in turn, treated the process with just as much dedication. I took the September exam and scored where I needed to, so the focus from that point onward was wrapping up all the written materials. This was no easy feat, as we had our hands full with two personal statements (one standard and one more condensed), ten why X statements, two optional essays, and one LSAT addendum (to be tweaked slightly for each school).
I applied to 15 law schools this cycle––up from 11 from the previous cycle. Moshe supported me with 10, seven of which were in the T20. As some other testimonials can speak to, completing all the written components takes time, as there are dozens of drafts before reaching a final version. To illustrate this further, I had about 66 drafts for my personal statement, 41 for my resumé, 26 for my first why X statement, 8 for my LSAT addendum, and a few for my optional essays. That’s close to 150 drafts for all written materials. On top of this, I had informational meetings with at least one current student for each of my why X statements (in total, about 12).
After all the blood, sweat, and tears put into this process between Moshe and me, we achieved what we set out to do: of the 15 schools I applied to, I was directly admitted to eight (three of which in the T15), waitlisted at four (all four in the T15), and withdrew from three (primarily lower than the T20). In short, the numbers speak for themselves and tell you what Moshe can help you achieve given time, patience, and perseverance.
